My Journey

I'm Zain Amjed — and for the last 13+ years, I've been solving the same core problem: how to make infrastructure work better for the businesses that depend on it.

It started in network operations — managing campus IT infrastructure, building out data centers, and keeping systems running for thousands of users at Roots Ivy International and the University of Faisalabad.

Over the years, I moved deeper into virtualization — managing 200+ VM environments on VMware vCenter 7, implementing disaster recovery with Veeam, and orchestrating containers with Kubernetes and Docker Swarm at Interloop LTD, one of Pakistan's leading textile manufacturers.

Today, as an Associate Cloud Architect at NorthBay Solutions (an AWS Premier Consulting Partner), I lead cloud migration projects end-to-end — designing VPC architectures, implementing IAM policies, migrating workloads via AWS MGN, and managing production environments across EC2, RDS, and S3.

My Philosophy

Great cloud architecture should be invisible. When it's done right, your team doesn't think about infrastructure — they just build, scale, and grow. I believe in clear documentation, honest assessments, and building things that last beyond the project handoff.
